In collaboration with Colombian artisan brand wuchii, Sublime Magazine presents heritage Colombian wall art.

Bring generations of ancestral creativity to your walls with this naturally dyed, handwoven textile. Alternatively, drape it over tables/cabinets or simply use it as a mat.
The natural dyeing process means each piece is truly unique as colours cannot be fully replicated as changing weather conditions affects colour tone.
This piece was handwoven by a cooperative of women weavers in a remote village in the North of Colombia.
Product Story
These unique products were originally mats made by the Chimila, an indigenous group that used the estera palm, a palm native to the Caribbean coast of Colombia, and natural dyeing techniques to create beautiful mats by loom weaving.
These ancient practices were passed down from mother to daughter and have evolved with each generation’s creativity. They still use the palm as well as a variety of plant-based materials to colour the products, including seeds, leaves and tree bark, creating a gorgeous earthy feel.
Each piece takes six days to make and is from El Cesar, Colombia.
